One of the perks of spending some time in Cape Town is taking advantage of the beautiful scenery in which to shoot portraits. Melissa was visiting from Austria and we decided to take some images which mixed traditional beach portraits with some lit sunset pictures. Fortunately the Cape Town skies did not disappoint and we captured some beautiful images using the Elinchrom ELB 400 flash and the Portalite soft box. Thanks to the kind gentleman who lent us his surfboard...

I had the pleasure of visiting the world renowned Okavango Delta last month where I stayed at the Duba Plains Expedition Camp. It's wet season which means rates are 50% and less of what they are come July/August time. I was also incredibly fortunate in that while the Okavango has had record amounts of rain early this year none of it fell while I was in situ! Being Borneo based they decided to combine a trip back for Christmas with a winter wedding and I have to say the Gods were shining on them and of course all their family and friends. We had a beautiful and very chilly winters day which created the most beautiful light and beautiful images....

I photographed the IBM partners lunch which took place at the Savoy Hotel in early December and a very decent bunch they were! Interestingly enough Eddie the Eagle was their after dinner speaker and did a great job keeping the masses entertained. By all accounts he has a pretty successful career in working the after dinner speech circuit.  ...

I had the pleasure of photographing the Spazzini family a few weeks ago and given we had just missed the last of the summer light in the evenings the shoot took place in their family home in Clapham Common. As a photographer you are never quite sure what you are going to find when you walk into somebody else's home to shoot but I didn't need to be worried...
